The way we build

All of our pieces are built from scratch to meet our clients’ specific needs. We build with only the highest quality materials using tried-and-true construction methods that are time-tested and proven to last. Our cabinets are built using the following:

  • Furniture-grade plywood construction

  • Solid hardwood face frames with mortice and tenon joinery

  • Solid wood drawer boxes with dovetailed corners

  • Thicker drawer bottoms - lower quality cabinetmakers use 1/4” plywood for their drawer bottoms, we use 3/8” for more solid and durable drawer boxes.

  • High-quality soft-close drawer slides and door hinges

  • Inset doors as default

Driven by passion

Cohasset Woodworks was started in 2023 out of a life-long passion for woodworking and a desire to produce high-quality cabinetry and furniture when nearly disposable furniture seems to be the norm. Our products are the antithesis of flat-pack, knock-down, particleboard furniture. Our work and construction methods would look familiar to craftsmen from 100 years ago and are built to be here for craftsmen to admire 100 years from now.
